Midwest thrashers LAZARUS A.D. have announced Black Rivers Flow as the title to their second full-length album, due out February 1st via Metal Blade Records. The release was recorded in July and August 2010 at Belle City Sound with Chris Wisco and was mixed and mastered by James Murphy at Safehouse Production.

UNEARTH have tapped KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist and renowned producer Adam Dutkiewicz to helm their next studio album, tentatively due in early 2011 via Metal Blade Records. The pre-production phase of the process officially started last week.

As previously reported, UNEARTH has recruited drummer Branden Morgan of MISERY SIGNALS to sit behind the kit for the band’s upcoming European dates as part of the Persistence Tour. The group says, “Branden is a great drummer and has been nailing all the tunes in rehearsal. Everyone headed to the Persistence Tour can expect UNEARTH to be as solid as ever during this run.”

The Persistence Tour — which also features SICK OF IT ALL, D.R.I., BLOOD FOR BLOOD, EVERGREEN TERRACE, CRUEL HAND, CASEY JONES and VERA CRUZ — will kick off on December 3 in Deinze, Belgium.

SLAYER and JOB FOR A COWBOY have announced their plans to release Metal Club exclusive pieces on Black Friday (11/26), which is a big day for Metal Club releases which also includes Metallica‘s “Live at Grimey’s” CD/10″.

SLAYER will be releasing the World Painted Blood 7″ with a previously unreleased track, “Atrocity Vendor,” as part of the special limited-edition single. Written by Kerry King, the track was recorded during the 2009 “World Painted Blood” sessions. “Atrocity Vendor” will be paired with the Tom Araya/Jeff Hanneman-penned track “World Painted Blood,” and released in a clear sleeve on red vinyl.

Arizona death metal band Job For A Cowboy will release Ruination as a limited-edition 3×10″ colored (orange/red/green) vinyl/CD box set. The collection includes the latest Metal Blade Records release Ruination split on two separate colored 10-inch vinyl LP’s, with the third LP encompassing rare and unreleased live and cover songs.

THE ABSENCE will release their third album, “Enemy Unbound“, on September 14 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was once again recorded at the Erik Rutan-owned Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida in November 2009, with Brian Elliott engineering and Peter Joseph and Patrick Pintavalle producing. Going along with the saying “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it,” the band tapped Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, CARNAL FORGE) of Black Lounge Studios in Sweden to handle both mixing and mastering on “Enemy Unbound“. Guest musicians on the CD include Tom Englund of EVERGREY and Andy Wood.
