CLUTCH have just announced a nine-date headlining tour beginning May 20th in Reading, PA to promote their forthcoming Basket Of Eggs project, as well as serving as an extended warm up run for their large scale European Festival tour in June. The 10 day south-eastern US run will feature MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER as main support. Clutch will keep the average ticket price for these shows to a fan friendly $17.50.

Following an incredible year conquering the globe, TESSERACT, the UK pioneers of the exploding djent movement, return home to receive their first GOLDEN GOD nomination for ‘Best New Band‘. From dazzling North America with the Devin Townsend Project, playing India alongside Meshuggah, taking Europe by storm on their first overseas headlining run to returning to the UK and selling-out their League of Extraordinary Djentlemen tour with Periphery, TESSERACT have rapidly become an international household name and will release their debut full length ‘One‘ on March 22nd.

Bassist Amos Williams comments, “For TesseracT to be nominated for the Best New Band award at this year’s Golden Gods has come as a major shock to us. We really didn’t expect anything like that at all, especially so early in our career, hell we haven’t even released our debut album yet. Being nominated alongside bands such as The Dammed Things is pretty cool as well…that’s Scott Ian, man! Just to be nominated is an award in itself, anything else will be a bonus. A massive thanks must go out to everyone who has voted for us so far.”

TESSERACT are also excited to unveil their brand new music video for the song “Nascent“. The clip was directed by Tim Fox of cultlovesyou and is now being streamed exclusively via Terrorizer Magazine.

MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER will release a limited-edition two-song hand-numbered seven-inch single — featuring the tracks “Where the Saints Roam” and “Cheap Thrills Cost the Most” — on July 27.

MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER‘s third album, “III“, was released in July 2009 via Ferret Music. It debuted at No. 71 on The Billboard Top 200 chart in its first week of release.

The band’s critically acclaimed 2007 album, “II“, was conceptual in nature, expounding on the true tales of 1920s gangster Ma Barker and her prohibition era real-life crime family. The record’s gritty musical shootouts are filled with intricate guitar riffing and whiskey drenched grooves, while the lyrics take your imagination back to a time when the exploits of gangs of criminals gripped the American people and press.
