IMPENDING DOOM will release their brand new full length album entitled “Baptized in Filth” on March 13, 2012. Produced by Andreas Magnusson (The Black Dahlia Murder) and Machine , this is the bands fourth full length and most ferocious effort to date.

“We’re proud to say that after many months of working on the new record it’s finally done. This is by far our favorite material to date and we can’t wait to share it with everyone and hit the road!! March 13th 2012 the world will be Baptized In Filth!” says guitarist Cory Johnson.

CHIMAIRA have released the following statement:

“After a decade of good times and achievements, our friend and band mate Jim LaMarca [bass] has decided to retire from CHIMAIRA. We wish him nothing but the best as he settles in and starts a family. As for seeking a replacement… we’ll cross that bridge down the line. In the meantime, consider it ‘business as usual’ with the CHIMAIRA you know and love.

Emil Werstler [DAATH guitarist] will be handling the bass duties for the rest of the year, and we’ll see you on the road!”

CHIMAIRA will embark on a short headlining tour in late November with support from IMPENDING DOOM, DAATH and THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE.

Cleveland, OH natives CHIMAIRA are pleased to announce their new headlining run, the ‘BLUE COLLAR BRAWLER TOUR’! Tapped to support the band on the run is Impending Doom, Daath, and Lancaster, PA’s THIS OR THE APOCALYSPE. The run begins on November 24th in Chicago, IL, so make sure to purchase your tickets now!

“CHIMAIRA is hard at work writing number six, being domestic, and making moves that will ensure awesomeness in 2011,” states vocalist Mark Hunter. “As you may have read, we are not exactly done touring yet. After all, we just released a new DVD. We hit up our agent and some killer bands, and came up with the ‘BLUE COLLAR BRAWLER TOUR’; 10 shows in 10 awesome cities. After that, we will switch our energy and start preparing for CHIMAIRA CHRISTMAS 11. This will be your last chance to see CHIMAIRA live for a while, so I suggest you do so. 2010 has been another amazing year for CHIMAIRA, and we can’t wait to end it on a high note with these shows. CHIMAIRA CHRISTMAS 11 will take place on December 30th, 2010 at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH. The band will be joined by special guests Ohio Sky.

CHIMAIRA currently has a CD/DVD set released, entitled Coming Alive. The set includes a four-part documentary filmed over the course of a year and a half while the entire package includes over 7 hours of exclusive content. The DVD, filmed entirely in HD, showcases CHIMAIRA in the studio while recording the Billboard-charting, The Infection, and chronicles their recent, worldwide touring season. Not only does the DVD set include this amazing documentary piece, another section, CHIMAIRA XMAS: Live Concert Film, celebrates the 10th annual CHIMAIRA Christmas show in Cleveland, Ohio, which took place on December 30th, 2009. 13 HD cameras capture CHIMAIRA releasing their fury for their hometown crowd on a dark and snowy night in December. Bonus features on the DVD include a 45 minute Resurrection: ‘Making of’ documentary, a 40 minute home-video footage documentary of never before seen moments, and a live CD featuring 17 tracks recorded at CHIMAIRA’s December 30th, 2010 Christmas show.

Supporting band and road veterans THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE also had a few words to share about the tour. “THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE is going to be playing a lot of new crowds and we couldn’t be any more excited about it,” states vocalist Ricky Armellino. “This tour is a really cool mix of bands that we’ve been familiar with and fans of for a long time; definitely an incredible way to end the year for us.
