Austria’s BELPHEGOR have revealed the cover art to their upcoming Blood Magick Necromance release! The piece was designed by renowned Austrian artist Joachim Luetke (DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY, KREATOR, etc).

BELPHEGOR recently wrapped up work on their new blackened death metal masterpiece Blood Magick Necromance! The album was produced by the legendary Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY) at his Abyss Studios (IMMORTAL, DIMMU BORGIR, HYPOCRISY, DARK FUNERAL etc.) in Pärlby, Sweden and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren. The album will be released on January 14th, 2011 in Europe and on February 8th, 2011 in North America!

BELPHEGOR will also be direct support to DEICIDE on the “God Is Dead – To Hell With God Tour”, which kicks off on Feb. 15th of next year. Twenty years ago, an underground cult movement surfaced in Tampa, Florida that revolutionized the metal world. The pioneers of this burgeoning scene, DEICIDE, are still striking fear into hearts of the masses to this day. As the world eagerly anticipates their new full-length slab of blasphemy, To Hell With God, the group prepares to embark on a massive North American headlining run appropriately titled “God Is Dead – To Hell With God Tour.” The Bloody-Disgusting sponsored trek, which kicks off on Feb. 15th also features Belphegor, Blackguard, Neuraxis and Pathology. To Hell With God was produced by the renowned Mark Lewis and is set for an early 2011 release.

DEICIDE are one of the founding fathers of death metal and easily one of the most influential and controversial bands ever. With a relentlessly brutal sound and uncompromisingly blasphemous lyrics, DEICIDE helped set the standards for extreme metal and have maintained those standards ever since.

DEICIDE stormed ahead into the future, releasing numerous albums engulfed by waves of controversy, as their popularity continued to ferment within the scene. However, it was the 2006 release The Stench of Redemption that put the band back on the map as the leaders of the genre. This was their first album to showcase the more melodic leads of guitarists Owen and Santolla which only added to their riotous and enigmatic success. DEICIDE looks forward to taking things to the next level in 2011, promising to deliver the album of their already heralded career.
