by admin on Jan.09, 2012, under news
It is with regret that Rise To Remain announces that they have parted company with their bass player Joe Copcutt and drummer Pat Lundy on the eve of their first American tour. As a result, they will no longer be able to take part in the shows as planned supporting Machine Head. The American album release will also feature exclusive new material recorded in the coming months.
Rise To Remain will head back out on the road in the UK and Europe as previously announced in March on their headlining tour with German metallers Heaven Shall Burn in support.
New members will be announced in due course. In the meantime, Rise To Remain would like to thank Joe and Pat for their contribution to the band’s success and wish them well with all their plans for the future.

by admin on Dec.01, 2011, under news
German modern metal force CALIBAN is proud to announce the release of their eighth studio album, I Am Nemesis on February 28, 2012 via Century Media Records. After spending 10 months writing new material, the band is very excited to get the record out to fans. “It was important to us to have an elaborate album without any fillers,” says lead guitarist Marc Görtz. “Additionally, the sound of the album is the best we’ve ever had by far: it is heavy and brutal without being chaotic.”
Lyrically, I Am Nemesis is a continuation of the band’s last record, Say Hello To Tragedy and focuses on controversial and often overlooked world issues. Musically, Görtz says, “The album breaks new soil without forgetting our roots. There are new influences such as shimmering guitar melodies and technical grooves with Meshuggah-like heaviness.”

We Are The Many
The Bogeyman
Memorial

IN FLAMES signs with Century Media Records
by admin on Mar.29, 2011, under news
Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of IN FLAMES.
“We are very happy to make IN FLAMES part of the Century Media Family. The band has a very loyal international fan base and has found a partner with an international set up,” says Antje Lange, Century Media Records.
“This is number 10….. Album number 10!!!!! That we even made it this far, that is amazing. Then, to deliver the album of our career, that is something else….. It’s fast, slow, heavy and mellow. It’s happy, sad, angry and calm. ‘Sounds of a playground Fading’ is everything we ever done on crack (it’s a metaphor boys and girls), it’s cask strength whisky when it’s THAT perfect moment. Use and abuse!!!!!
By the way, we are happy to be in bed with Century media. They know the business, we know the music, a perfect match. What can possibly go wrong….ha, ha, ha!!!!!!”
- Anders Fridén/In Flames
IN FLAMES was founded 1990 in Gothenburg and soon became one of the most successful Swedish Metal bands since the release of their break-through album “The Jester Race” in 1996. Like many of the predecessors, their last album “A Sense Of Purpose” (2008) charted all over the world including the band¹s highest ever entry on the American Billboard top 200 with an amazing #28.
In September 2010 IN FLAMES once again entered their own IF Studios together with Roberto Laghi, Daniel Bergstrand and Örjan Örnkloo to start the recording of the new album. The album ‘Sounds Of A Playground Fading‘ is planned for a June 2011 release. Around that time, IN FLAMES will play some of the most important European summer festivals (Sonisphere, Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park, Hellfest, and more), followed by the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival US tour in July and an European tour in Fall/Winter 2011.

IN THIS MOMENT stream another new song from ‘A Star-Crossed Wasteland’
by admin on Jul.02, 2010, under news
“Just Drive“, from IN THIS MOMENT, can be streamed on the band’s MySpace page. The track comes off the group’s third album, “A Star-Crossed Wasteland“, which is scheduled for release on July 13 via Century Media Records.
“A Star-Crossed Wasteland” track listing:
01. The Gun Show
02. Just Drive
03. The Promise
04. Standing Alone
05. A Star-Crossed Wasteland
06. Blazin’
07. The Road
08. Iron Army
09. The Last Cowboy
10. World In Flames
Commented guitarist Chris Howorth: “As I write this, we are currently nine days from the start of the [Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival].
“We have been holed up in our rehearsal studio for the last two weeks working on all the new songs and putting together our set list. We have dialed in a pretty brutal set comprised of songs from our first album and our new CD.
“We can’t wait to unleash these songs on the Mayhem crowd every day.
“Over the last two days we have also done a live performance for Fuel TV and an acoustic performance/interview for Revolver TV. Both performances went great and we were stoked that our good friend Adrian Patrick from OTHERWISE flew in to perform the song ‘The Promise‘ with us at both events. It was crazy seeing a dude on stage singing with us, but it was also a really cool change from the norm. Maria and Adrian are singing this duet together and playing off each other, so it’s really dramatic.
“Also, on a really cool side note, Adrian is planning to follow the Mayhem tour to perform ‘The Promise‘ with us each day, so fans will get to see the song performed just like it is on the album all summer.
“We are releasing a new song called ‘Just Drive’ today and it’s one of Maria‘s and my favorite songs from the album. It’s a driving, up-tempo song with an epic chorus and aggressive guitar work. We can’t wait for fans to hear it.”
