JOE SATRIANI‘s new single, ‘Light Years Away‘ is currently streaming at Satriani.com, allowing fans a taste of his upcoming album, Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards.

Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards, Satriani’s 14th studio album, is produced and recorded by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, METALLICA) and Satriani, and is set for release on October 5, 2010 through Epic Records. Veteran Satriani bandmate Jeff Campitelli joins Joe on drums, while newcomers, keyboardist Mike Keneally (FRANK ZAPPA, STEVE VAI) and bassist Allen Whitman (MERMEN) are adding their expertise to the mix. Satriani’s classic sound also carries a surprisingly rich texture of new material as well.

Joe Satriani, one of rock music’s most renowned electric guitarists, has announced details of his highly anticipated 14th studio album, “Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards“. The album will be made available in the U.S. on October 5 (one day earlier internationally) via Epic Records.

On “Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards“, Satriani’s classic sound is accompanied by a surprisingly rich new texture. The first single, “Light Years Away“, is destined to be a hit, alongside several other high energy offerings, like “Wormhole Wizards” and “Premonition“.
