Sevendust Band Promo 2014June 17, 2014 –The City Drive Entertainment Group has announced it has made a deal to film Atlanta-based hard rock icons Sevendust for a landmark multi-show live DVD and documentary.

Production on the feature-length documentary is set to begin immediately and take six months, and will include historical footage; footage from the band’s current “An Evening With Sevendust” acoustic tour; interviews; and cameos from Tommy Lee, Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge), Scott Phillips (Alter Bridge and also a member of Sevendust guitarist John Connolly and bassist Vince Hornsby’s band, Projected), Wolfgang Van Halen and many others. City Drive/DC3 will film the concert portion of the project in New York City. They expect to film two full-length shows back-to-back: an acoustic show followed by a plugged-in show—the band’s last plugged-in show of 2014. The band will offer tickets for both shows to fans at one price and they’re expecting a very quick sell out. Tickets will go on sale sometime in late June. On sale info will be announced soon.

The plugged-in show will showcase more firepower than Sevendust has ever deployed, with pyrotechnics, spectacular lighting, video projection and screens, and special effects. Drummer/vocalist Morgan Rose promises, “We’re going to bring on so much production, it will amaze people. We’re going to blow sh** up, we’re going to have fire, we’re going to have dragons, we’re going to have fire-breathing dragons. It may be the only time fans will ever get to see us this way!”

Guitarist Clint Lowery explains, “The essence of this band is playing live and that’s what we’re finally documenting for this project. What’s unique about it is that it will share both sides of this band—the melodic and the aggressive—with our most die-hard fans. This film is a heartfelt way to show them, our children and the whole world who we were, who we became, where we are and where we’re going.”

“We’re already on the road to make this project happen,” says award-winning film director Daniel Catullo III, CEO of The City Drive Entertainment Group and DC3 Music Group, the director and producer of the project. He started shooting Sunday, June 8th at the band’s show in at the Starland Theatre in Sayreville, NJ, just across the river from New York City. “We aim to capture the band’s live essence—acoustic and plugged-in—as well as to document their long history of genre-bending innovation in the hard rock arena.”

“Fans will be part of the films, and how could they not be?” Catullo adds. “They are the heart of Sevendust’s success and literally made the band’s current album possible.” The film will feature interviews with up to 100 fans. Catullo urges fans that want to be interviewed for the film to put in their requests at Sevendust@citydrivefilms.com. City Drive/DC3 expects to release the DVD/CD project in early 2015.

Atlanta-based Sevendust, comprised of Lajon Witherspoon (vocals); Morgan Rose (drums/vocals), Clint Lowery (guitar/vocals), John Connolly (guitar/vocals) and Vince Hornsby (bass/vocals) formed in 1994 and released their first eponymous record in 1997, which was certified gold.

Sevendust released their critically acclaimed tenth (and second acoustic) album, TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES, on the band’s 7Bros. Records label, in conjunction with ADA Label Services, on April 15. The album of new and re-recorded acoustic material debuted at the top of Billboard’s Hard Music Albums chart. Crowdfunded with a PledgeMusic campaign, which kicked off in November, fan response was so great the band was able to start recording TIME TRAVELERS & BONFIRES at Architekt Music in Butler, NJ—where they recorded their previous album “Black Out The Sun” in January 2013. By the time the campaign ended, they’d reached 235% of their goal with almost 3500 pledges.

The band is currently headlining an acoustic tour, “An Evening With Sevendust,” to support the release. The tour kicked off this past April in Athens, GA and has dates booked through the end of June, with more dates to come throughout the summer.

Emphatic_Another Life CoverJuly 16, 2013–Omaha, Nebraska based hard rockers, Emphatic have announced a September 17th release date for their sophomore album “Another Life” with Epochal Artists Records/Capitol Music Group. The album will be the first to feature new frontman Toryn Green, who was previously the singer of multi-platinum rock band FUEL and the touring vocalist for Finnish cello rock band Apocalyptica.

“This band has seen its share of difficult situations and for me I was the guy that had to decide to give up or fix what was broken. Music is in my blood so giving up isn’t an option,” said guitarist Justin McCain. “After making that decision to continue we found Toryn and he was everything I’ve ever wanted in a frontman. The record is a reflection of the trials and tribulations we went through as a band over the past couple of years.”

Produced by Emphatic guitarist Justin McCain and co-produced by Ryan Greene at Validus Recording Studios in Los Angeles, “Another Life” showcases Emphatic’s newfound sense of maturity and creative firepower as they belt out a powerful dose of groundbreaking hard rock. Rejuvenated creatively, the band is now firing on all cylinders with a line-up that matches the intensity of their songs. “Another Life” is filled with gigantic hooks, powerful melodies and is an inspiring triumph over adversity.

Emphatic are best known for their major label debut album “Damage”, which produced the hit single “Bounce”, and shot the album onto the Billboard Heatseekers charts at #9. The album was produced by Howard Benson (Three Days Grace, Halestorm), and featured A Perfect Circle’s Josh Freese playing drums on the record. From there, the band went on to take part in the Carnival Of Madness Tour alongside hard rock heavyweights Theory of a Deadman, Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry, and Adelitas Way.

August 7, 2012 – What started out as a fun side-project for Sevendust guitarist John Connolly and bassist Vince Hornsby, Alter Bridge/Creed drummer Scott Phillips, and Tremonti Project/Creed guitarist Eric Friedman has become PROJECTED. The band’s debut album, HUMAN, will be released September 18 on Connolly’s own Yaya Papu LLC. label. A lyric video for the song “Watch It Burn” can be seen on the band’s YouTube page here.

Produced by Connolly and Elvis Baskette (Alter Bridge, Puddle Of Mudd), the majority of the album’s music and vocals were recorded at Studio 1119, Connolly’s studio in his home office (“when it’s not being used by his wife to pay the bills or his daughter to play Webkins,” he jokes).

For HUMAN’s artwork, PROJECTED reached out to their fans on Facebook to submit their original concepts. The winner’s design graces the final album cover, while 16 runner-ups will have their artwork included in the CD case and on the back cover. One “Wild Card” winning submission will be seen under the disc inside the case. All finalists are receiving a “Top Tier Bundle” music and merchandise package, which includes the CD, T-shirt, autographed poster, sticker, and lifetime VIP laminate, all of which will arrive two weeks before the album is released. All of the submitted artwork can be seen on the band’s website.

“The idea behind this project originally started as nothing more than a group of us who were friends already, going into the studio to just record some tunes we had laying around and basically just have a good time with it,” explains Connolly. “No pressure from labels or any pre-conceived notions or expectations. Just making music and having a good time. HUMAN is the end result of us working without deadlines or budget constraints…or a budget at all.”

“John, Vinny, Eric, and I have shared many miles and many stages together over previous years,” explains Scott Phillips. “We’ve always talked about collaborating and now it’s finally come to fruition. I might possibly be one of the biggest Sevendust fans ever, and to get the opportunity to work with a few of my favorite musicians on the planet, and some of my best friends, means the world to me. We wholeheartedly believe in these songs…believe in John’s vision…and couldn’t be happier about the future of Projected!”

As Vince Hornsby continues, “I’m grateful for the opportunity that I was given to work on this project with John, Scott and Eric. They are great friends and talented musicians. I look forward to getting all the songs out there for everyone to hear and excited about what the future holds.”

And Eric Friedman concludes, “Just a buncha bros doin’ what we love!”

Throughout the album, PROJECTED serves up a healthy dose of the heavy with songs such as, “Alive” and “Breaking Me.” The listener can’t help but hear the Sevendust influences in “Alive,” with Hornsby providing the down-tuned bass tones while Friedman gives the song originality with eccentric guitar riffs. And on “Bring You Back,” Sevendust singer Lajon Witherspoon makes a special appearance on vocals.

“12804” is one of the more personal and emotional songs on the album. To Connolly, this is one of the most prominent tracks due to the lyrical content, which pays tribute to the late Dimebag Darrell, whose life was tragically taken on December 8, 2004. In “12804,” the listener can hear the sorrow in Connolly’s voice and lyrics as he sings: “Somewhere there’s another all in for the other…Two can breathe forever…Nowhere there’s another life into the after…Two can live forever.”

After listening to HUMAN, it’s easy to see and hear that this is just not another supergroup. It is a new band of musicians that have used their talents from being in other well-known bands to create an album that is unique and all of their own. From the opening intro track to the last song, “Breaking Me,” PROJECTED solidifies their presence as a band that has not only created an exuberant album, but as a band with individuals that have come full circle as truly talented and memorable musicians for years to come.

Here’s the complete track listing of HUMAN:
