 The great thing about a PRONG remix is that you don’t even have to be a previous listener of the band and you can still get off on this stuff! Tommy Victor and his band PRONG are just one of those kinds of bands. You can either be a fan and totally love everything that gets put out with their music adorning the grooves, or you can be a total newcomer and hear something totally cool on your first listen. What makes this release so cool is that it’s sort of an honorary homage that is being paid to the band by Mix DJ’s and bands like THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, DOPE, AK-1200, ANTHRAX and many others. All of these bands and more have put their touches on PRONG classics and put them through the twists and turns that they felt best defined Tommy’s electro-Metal personality, and the results are very BIG!!! P.O.T.D.M. includes remixes of PRONG monsters like ”Can’t Stop The Bleeding”, “Worst Of It”, “3rd Option”, “No Justice” and my personal favorite of the lot; “Looking For Them” which is a great song in its own right, but when put through its paces by Guitarist Virus of the band DOPE, it takes on a whole new life.
Can’t make any complaints here other than, as a huge PRONG fan, there are some really important tunes that are not present here, like “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck” and a few others that will go nameless because I know fans will feel me on this. Regardless, this is one hell of a party album that can be played on “Repeat” and keep the thing going on into the wee-hours of the night, for sure!!!
